Strawberry jam with citric acid

Here is a recipe for a truly summer treat - strawberry jam. By adding citric acid to jam, it acquires a slight sourness combined with a sweet taste. This taste is very harmonious for strawberry jam. A thick, rich, aromatic strawberry jam will be made even by a novice housewife.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Rinse the strawberries, remove the stalks and pat dry on a paper towel.
step 2 out of 6
Next, we transfer the berries to a cooking container, sprinkle with granulated sugar, mix and leave in this form for 2 hours.
step 3 out of 6
After a while, add citric acid to the strawberry mass. We arm ourselves with a submersible blender and interrupt the berries until puree.
step 4 out of 6
Put the container with the contents on fire, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. After that, boil the berry mass for another 5 minutes. In the process of cooking, remove the emerging foam. Turn off the gas and completely cool the resulting mass (for 4-5 hours). Repeat this manipulation two more times, each time bringing the strawberry jam to a strong boil.
step 5 out of 6
After the third cooking, pour hot strawberry jam into prepared containers, seal with lids. Cool the jam in the standard way - turn the jars upside down and wrap them in a warm blanket. After cooling down, move the treat to a dark and cool place.
step 6 out of 6
The perfect summer dessert is ready! Open Strawberry Jam when the time is right and enjoy its flavor and aroma!

Enjoy your tea!
