Strawberries without cooking in their own juice with sugar for the winter

Let's prepare strawberries for the winter, carrying cooking, with the addition of sugar. Interestingly, the berries can be left with sepals - in this form, they look very natural, as if from a garden. The greens do not affect the final taste, the strawberries are moderately sweet and very aromatic.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 11
We sort out the strawberries: we select high-quality berries, without defects or damage. We do not delete sepals. We wash the prepared berries in running water, then sprinkle them on a clean dry towel and let them dry completely.
step 2 out of 11
Place the dried strawberries in a dry clean basin, cover with granulated sugar, shake to evenly distribute the sugar over the berries and leave in a cool place for six to seven hours.
step 3 out of 11
After the specified time, the strawberries will release a noticeable amount of juice.
step 4 out of 11
Wash jars and lids and sterilize in any available way. Let the container dry completely.
step 5 out of 11
Put strawberries with sugar to the very top in prepared jars, put the berries quite tightly.
step 6 out of 11
There is juice left in the basin. We put it on the stove.
step 7 out of 11
Bring it to a boil.
step 8 out of 11
Pour the berries in jars with boiling syrup. Cover with lids.
step 9 out of 11
Now we proceed to sterilization. Put jars of strawberries in a wide saucepan or basin and pour in water in such an amount that it reaches the level of their "shoulders". We put on the stove and bring to a boil. We boil for ten minutes. Then we take out the cans one by one and screw them with the lids.
step 10 out of 11
After sterilization and closure, turn the cans upside down to check the tightness and leave to cool in this position.
step 11 out of 11
We put the cooled jars with strawberries in a cool dark place for storage.
Bon Appetit!
