Strawberries in their own juice without cooking for the winter

There is no difficulty in making strawberries in your own juice. The most important thing is to properly prepare the raw materials and pay attention to sterilization. If these conditions are met, strawberries will turn out to be beautiful, fragrant and will be well stored.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We sort out the strawberries: we select the berries without defects or damage. Rinse the prepared berries thoroughly in cool water. Remove the stem from the washed berries. Let the berries dry a little. Wash the jars and lids thoroughly.
step 2 out of 6
In three half-liter jars we lay out the strawberries quite tightly, sprinkling the berries with granulated sugar. Sprinkle the remaining berries with granulated sugar and close the lid. We put the jars and the remaining berries in the refrigerator for ten hours to extract the juice.
step 3 out of 6
After the specified time has elapsed, we take out the strawberries, cover the jars with lids.
step 4 out of 6
Now we proceed to sterilization. Put a towel in a wide saucepan or basin, put jars of strawberries on it and pour in water in such an amount that it reaches the level of their "shoulders".
step 5 out of 6
We put on the stove and bring to a boil. Maintain a very slow boil for seven to ten minutes. Then we open the lids and see how the strawberries have settled. We add berries from those that remain. If there is an unused amount of granulated sugar, add it as well. We close the lids and continue to sterilize for another five minutes. If during this time the juice has not filled the jars, you can add boiling water to completely immerse all the strawberries in the liquid.
step 6 out of 6
Then we take out the sterilized jars one by one and tighten the lids. After sterilization and closure, turn the cans upside down to check the tightness and leave to cool in this position. We put the cooled jars with strawberries in a cool dark place for storage.
Bon Appetit!
