Mojito gooseberry compote in a 3-liter jar

If you add a small amount of rum and ice to a glass with such a compote, you will have a real Mojito cocktail. The recipe for this refreshing and delicious compote has been very popular lately. Prepare compote only from green gooseberries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 3
Remove inflorescences and stalks from gooseberries. Then wash the berries well and place in a clean 3-liter jar.
step 2 out of 3
Pour a glass of sugar into the jar. A larger amount is not needed, as the compote will lose its refreshing taste and will be sugary.
step 3 out of 3
Pour boiling water over gooseberries with sugar to the very top of the jar. Cover the jar with a clean lid and leave for 20 minutes. During this time, the sugar should dissolve. After this time, pour the syrup from the jar through a special lid into a saucepan and boil it. Rinse the mint sprigs with cold water and place on the berries. Pour the boiling syrup over the gooseberries in a jar and immediately roll up the jar. Then turn it over onto the lid and cover with a terry towel for 2 days. This compote is well kept at home.
