Gooseberry compote with mint

This recipe is a quick way to make a refreshing gooseberry drink with mint. It is usually prepared from green gooseberry varieties. In this recipe, you are asked to take the regular red.

To prepare compote, prepare the calculated amount of berries and sugar, as well as kitchen utensils (seaming, a special lid and a saucepan for boiling syrup). Sterilize the jar in any way, and boil the lid.

Rinse the gooseberries well with running water. The inflorescences and stalks of the berries do not need to be removed. Prick large berries with a needle.

Place the prepared berries in a sterile jar and add mint leaves.

Pour boiling water over the berries in a jar, cover with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.

Then, through a special lid with holes, pour the water from their cans into a saucepan.
