Pumpkin is a very versatile product. It is used for making desserts, and in baking, and for soups, and there are countless options for side dishes with it. We offer a recipe for baked pumpkin slices in sour cream with garlic. Such a dish can be served both independently and as a side dish, for example, with a poultry.

Wash the pumpkin, dry it and cut it in half for convenience. We extract the content with the seeds. Cut off the surface skin. It is quite dense, so for work it is better to use a special knife for peeling vegetables with a slot. With it, you do not need to control the thickness of the cut layer and you can make every effort to cut it.
Cut the prepared pumpkin pulp with a knife into small pieces. We place them in a bowl. Add sour cream, a mixture of ground peppers, salt to taste. Peel the garlic, pass it through a press. Put the garlic gruel to the pumpkin in a bowl. Mix everything thoroughly so that each piece of pumpkin is covered with a fragrant dressing.
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. We spread the pumpkin in sour cream, align it in shape. We cover the form with a lid. If there is no suitable lid, you can tighten the mold with a sheet of parchment or foil. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. We put the pumpkin dish in the already hot oven on the middle level. As soon as the contents begin to boil, lower the temperature to 170 degrees and continue to bake for thirty-five to forty minutes. The pumpkin should be soft by the end of baking. Rub hard cheese on a coarse grater. We take out the form, remove the lid and generously sprinkle the surface of the pumpkin slices with cheese shavings. We return back to the oven without a lid to the upper level.
