Baking on fresh (live) yeast is still loved by many for its unique softness and special cozy aroma. Soak the dough products for a while at room temperature to keep them warm. Knead the dough in milk.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 10
Put fresh yeast in a bowl for kneading dough, add sugar to them (you can increase its amount if you like sweet pastries), pour 50 ml of warmed milk and mix well so that the ingredients are completely dissolved in the milk. Then leave this mixture in a warm place for 10-15 minutes.
step 2 out of 10
During this time, fresh yeast will start working and small air bubbles will appear on the surface of the mixture.
step 3 out of 10
Then sprinkle this mixture with salt.
step 4 out of 10
Then pour in the rest of the warm milk and stir well with a spoon.
step 5 out of 10
Pour 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil into this liquid dough base.
step 6 out of 10
Sift the required amount of wheat flour on a sieve and pour it portionwise to the milk-yeast mixture, while kneading the dough with a spoon until smooth.
step 7 out of 10
If the kneaded dough turns out to be tight, add a little milk, if it is thin, add a little flour. Cover the dishes with the dough with a napkin and put them in a warm and draft-free place for 1 hour.
step 8 out of 10
In 1 hour, the dough with live yeast will rise well, increase in volume and become quite thick. The consistency should be such that the dough is removed from the spoon with your finger, and not dripped.
step 9 out of 10
Stir the dough that has come up a little with a spoon and you can start frying the pancakes. Heat the vegetable oil well in a skillet. Using a spoon dipped in oil or water, spread the dough into a preheated skillet in the form of small pancakes. Fry the pancakes over medium heat for a couple of minutes and until golden brown on each side.
step 10 out of 10
Pancakes with live yeast in milk are ready. You can serve it with sour cream or jam.
Bon Appetit!
