Chocolate curd Easter custard

An exquisite recipe for cottage cheese Easter with chocolate. In addition to chocolate, we also add dried cherries and nuts - this combination is always a winning one and will leave few people indifferent. Ideally, use natural vanilla for flavor, but vanilla sugar will do, of course. We will cook the dessert using the custard method - bring the creamy egg mass to a boil on the stove and then mix it with cottage cheese and melted chocolate.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
For the preparation of Easter, we recommend taking cottage cheese with a fat content of 9-20%. For uniformity, wipe it through a fine sieve or pass it twice through a meat grinder with a fine grid. We take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance so that it has time to become soft by the time of cooking. We cut it finely and add to the grated cottage cheese. We mix.
step 2 out of 9
Break eggs into a separate bowl, add granulated sugar. Mix until smooth. Pour cream into the resulting mass, mix. Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise, remove the seeds and put them in the egg-creamy mass.
step 3 out of 9
We put the creamy egg mixture on the stove. Heat the mass over low heat with constant continuous stirring. Bring to a boil. The mass should thicken.
step 4 out of 9
Chop the nuts finely with a knife or chop them with a blender.
step 5 out of 9
Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a saucepan. We put on a water bath and melt to a liquid state.
step 6 out of 9
Pour the hot creamy egg mass into the cottage cheese with butter, mix thoroughly. Add melted chocolate, mix again.
step 7 out of 9
The last step is to add dried cherries and chopped nuts. We mix.
step 8 out of 9
We cover the paste box with gauze folded in two layers. We fill it with the prepared curd-chocolate mass, level the surface. We wrap the edges of the gauze up, closing the curd. We set a small oppression on top so that the serum flows down. We put the structure in the refrigerator for twelve hours.
step 9 out of 9
After the specified time has elapsed, we remove the oppression, unfold the edges of the gauze and carefully turn the cottage cheese Easter onto a dish. Dessert can be served.
Bon Appetit!
