Who doesn't love strawberry jam? Its deep, soft scent is reminiscent of summer. Pieces of strawberries that come across on the tongue melt pleasantly in the mouth. It is good to savor such jam with thin pancakes, savory cheese cakes or grained cottage cheese.

Inspect strawberries for rotten or crushed berries. Unripe berries are also not suitable for jam.

Wash the strawberries, dry on paper towels. Peel each berry from sepals and cut into 2-4 pieces, depending on the size.

Wash the lemon with soap and boiling water. Heat the lemon in the microwave for about 30 seconds to give more juice. Squeeze out the required amount of juice and strain it through a sieve to remove the seeds.

Put chopped strawberries into a saucepan with a thick bottom and walls, pour in lemon juice.

Pour granulated sugar into the same saucepan. Mix everything with a wooden spoon and set the saucepan over medium heat.

Cook the jam, without interfering with it, for about a third of an hour, then reduce the heat and cook for another half hour, removing the foam all the time and sometimes gently stirring.
