Meadow strawberry jam five minutes

I once noticed that the market sells small berries that look like strawberries, but they have a more nondescript color and tightly pressed sepals. If you see such berries, then be sure to buy them, because this is a meadow strawberry, which has a large number of useful properties. I recommend making aromatic meadow strawberry jam.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make a delicious jam. Sort the meadow strawberries carefully. I leave the sepals. Put in a sieve, rinse gently and let excess liquid drain.
step 2 out of 4
In a container with a thick bottom, in which you will cook the jam, pour the required amount of drinking water, gradually add granulated sugar, put the container on low heat and cook until the granulated sugar crystals are completely dissolved, stirring constantly the sugar syrup.
step 3 out of 4
Put the prepared berries in the syrup, add citric acid and mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally and skimming off any foam. Cook the jam for 5 minutes. Then remove from heat and cool completely for 8-12 hours. Wash the jars and sterilize them in the microwave or oven. Boil the lids.
step 4 out of 4
Jars and lids must be dry. Put the container with jam again on low heat and bring to a boil, cook for 5 minutes and remove from heat. Pour hot jam into sterile jars, close with sterile lids, turn upside down and wrap with a warm blanket. Leave to cool completely, then move them to a dark place for storage.

Enjoy!
